1960s Cowichan Canadian Handknit Jumper size Large

£350.00

Absolutely stunning in look, feel and condition. Like new. A truly heirloom piece to be worn by women as a chunky jacket and worn as a jacket cum cardigan by men. Every piece was sourced by Christopher and chosen for its unique pattern. Every hand knit is unique.

This design depicts a totem symbol, eagle wings, a masked face and bold tri colour pattern.

This style of knit comes from the Cowichan people, based historically in Canada. These items are dating back to the 1960s.

There was a revival in the 70s and 80s too, think Starsky and Hutch and Magnum P.I
