This version came to me in a daydream. I kept thinking about how my life wasn't working out the way I jad intended, but then thinking that there was sometimes no point in fighting it...sitting deeply into the discomfort was something I am no stranger to. But I also kept being drawn to Tarot and Mystic Magic motifs, icons and illustrations and the idea of my hand on a handmade bag came into being.

I am using Angelus leather paints in a dark taupe. Every bag will vary slightly but the hand will remain central.

As the nude untreated leather darkens and tans the illustration will stop being so stark. You bag will ended up looking like a tanned ancient treasure map, Developing a mystical deep patina over the years to come. Be part of a unique story.

Here's the thing.
The studio is back up and running, in my home.

I want to make and sell lots of bags, right now. And the flaw about my St Leonards bags is that they last 10, 15, 25, 30 years... there is no built-in obsolescence, like Apple Iphones or Washing machines... so customers don't run out of my designs, they dont break and have to be replaced...

So this design I have come up with today, will go on sale in a few days and will cost just £99.80

That's cheaper than most multiple retailer stores like Cos and Arket where the leather is of so so quality, and mainly mass produced in China or India , and where the factory gets around ¼ of the retail value and the makers get even less.

It'll carry all sorts with style and strength. The nude untreated leather will tan and darken and grow a beautiful patina, unique to you... there are no fastenings or pockets, to keep the price down... just a joyful hunk of leather.

Dimensions:

36cm wide at opening x 40cm tall x 4 cm gusset.

2 x flat staps which are 2.3cm wide and allow a drop from the shoulder of approx 22cm. Designed to be worn over the shoulder, will drag on the floor when carried in the hand IF you are shorter than 5ft 5" tall.
